91 points, Robert Parker

Disgorged in April 2021, Drappier's new NV Brut Carte d'Or delivers attractive aromas of golden orchard fruit, stone fruit, honeycomb and white flowers. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and enveloping, it's charming and elegantly vinous, with a flavorful core of fruit, lively acids and a chalky finish.

Discover the Winery: Champagne Drappier

The Drappier house has a rich and exciting history, driven by the vision and tenacity of the Drappier family for more than two centuries. It all began in 1808, when François Drappier founded the house. Over the generations, the family has been able to preserve the values and traditions of Champagne while adapting to technical and environmental developments. It was with Michel Drappier, representative of the seventh generation, that the house took a decisive turn in the 1980s. Inheriting an already well-established estate, Michel has breathed new life into the estate by reintroducing old grape varieties such as Pinot Blanc, and by developing more environmentally friendly viticultural techniques. Under his leadership, Drappier has adopted sustainable viticulture, with a gradual conversion to organic farming and the integration of biodynamic principles. This choice is part of a desire to protect the terroir while promoting biodiversity in the vineyards. Michel Drappier has also implemented low-intervention winemaking practices, reducing the use of sulphur to favour the purest expression of the wine. Today, his children continue his work, thus ensuring the continuity of the family commitment to quality and the preservation of the Champagne tradition. The history of the Drappier house is therefore one of a constant commitment to excellence, combining ancestral know-how and modern innovations
