Discover the Winery: Domaine Marc Kreydenweiss
The estate is located in Andlau, in Alsace, halfway between Strasbourg and Colmar, in the Piedmont part of the Vosges. Nestled at the foot of the mountains, the vineyard benefits from a continental climate and shares a mosaic of terroirs completely opposite in their geology: pink Vosges sandstone (gc Wiebelsberg), black shale (gc Kastelberg), blue shale (Clos du Val d 'Eléon and Clos Rebberg), and marly-calcaro-sandstone (gc Moenchberg). Marc Kreydenweiss passed on his passion for wine, terroirs and biodynamics to his children. Antoine Kreydenweiss took over the reins of the Alsatian vineyard in 2007 accompanied by Charlotte, their daughters Zoé, Lilou and Léonie, the team and his Comtois horse. Together they display the same passion: producing wines with a personality by highlighting the soul of each of its terroirs. The Estate includes 13.5 hectares of vines, including the 3 Grand Crus of Andlau: Wiebelsberg, Moenchberg and Kastelberg. Another great vintage: the Kirchberg de Barr has joined the diverse panel of the domain. Vinification is carried out in the most natural way, respecting the balance of each wine. Each year, some 120,000 bottles are produced. The biodynamics applied since 1989 is an integral part of the estate's activities.
